The price of copper is rising by almost 1% on Friday after the release of macroeconomic data in China, trading data shows.

March futures for copper on the Comex exchange rose by 0.92% to $4.1223 a pound (about 0.45 kilograms).

At the end of trading on the London Metal Exchange (LME) on Thursday, the cost of a ton of copper with delivery in three months decreased by 0.38%, to $9052.5, aluminum - by 0.55%, to $2617, zinc rose by 0.99%, to $3382.5.
