Lilit Makunts, Ambassador of Armenia to the United States, on Thursday had a meeting with Paul Salem, President and CEO of the Middle East Institute, informed the embassy of Armenia in Washington D.C.

Kate Seelye, Middle East Institute Senior Vice President, Iulia Joja, Frontier Europe Program Director, Mamuka Tsereteli, Senior Fellow from Eurasia, and Thomas Halvorsen, Executive Assistant to the Middle East Institute President, also participated in the meeting.

The ambassador briefed the participants on the democratic and peace agenda of Armenia in the region, security situation in Armenia and in the South Caucasus region, specifically pointing out the ongoing crisis around the Lachin corridor.

The briefing was followed by Q&A session.
