Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin is on a working visit to Vayots Dzor Province, the press service of the Russian House in Yerevan informed.

The head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Armenia met with Vayots Dzor provincial governor Ararat Grigoryan. Kopyrkin noted that Russia continues to take steps aimed at further deepening of work and implementation of joint projects with the provinces of Armenia.

"Despite the new challenges, Russia continues to stand with brotherly Armenia," said the Russian diplomat, and recalled the role and significance of centuries-old friendship between the two peoples.

The governor, in turn, thanked the ambassador and added that Vayots Dzor Province is interested in cooperation with Russia. Also, he expressed confidence that Russia's assistance will be permanent.
