US Department of the Treasury has excluded the operation regarding the supply of Russian oil products to some countries from its list of sanctions.

The Treasury Department has permitted operations related to the supply of Russian oil products to Bulgaria, Croatia, and several landlocked countries, removing the relevant transactions from the scope of the restrictive measures previously announced by Washington, which are applied within the framework of the price cap policy for oil and oil products from Russia, TASS reports.

The Treasury Department updated the corresponding general license dated November 22, 2022, which removed only Russian oil supply operations from the restrictions.

All transactions prohibited by the US Treasury Department decision of November 21, 2022 are related to the import of crude oil and the import of petroleum products to Bulgaria, Croatia and landlocked EU countries, the document states.

The Treasury Department noted that this license does not allow activities prohibited by the anti-Russian restrictions previously imposed by the United States, including activities with persons subject to US blocking sanctions.
