According to the Syrian minister of health, the earthquakes that occurred in Iskenderun, Turkey, early Monday morning shook all the governorates of Syria, too. The strongest tremors were recorded in Idlib, Aleppo, and Latakia. This is stated on the Facebook page of the Kantsasar Armenian weekly.

As per the Syrian Ministry of Health, the number of casualties in Syria has reached at least one hundred. And there are Armenians among them, Kantsasar reported..

About 500 people are injured. Another 20 people are reported to have been killed in rebel-held areas of Syria.

Rescuers and local residents are trying to pull out the injured from the rubble.
