The death toll in the strong earthquake in Kahramanmaras Province of Turkey has reached 912, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced, stressing that 5,385 people were injured.
Erdogan added that the death toll is likely to increase, but at the moment it is difficult to say any number.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 was recorded in Turkey Monday at 4:17am local time in the Pazarcik region near the city of Kahramanmaras. There were 42 aftershocks, the strongest of which was 6.6 in magnitude.
