Adana Airport in southeastern Turkey has decided to suspend operations due to the devastating earthquakes, reports the Turkish news agency DHA.

The airport has been closed until a new decision is made. The closure of the airport was preceded by two consecutive earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 in the morning and 7.5 in the afternoon. In Turkey, according to the latest data, the disaster killed more than 900 people. The earthquake also caused large casualties and destruction in Iraq and Syria, the tremors were also felt in Lebanon.

Earlier, Turkey's Hatay airport in the city of Antakya on the Mediterranean coast due to the destruction of the runway went out of service.
