Rescue teams from Armenia will arrive in Syria shortly, and they will participate in search and rescue operations in the regions affected by the devastating earthquake, reports the correspondent of Kantsasar Armenian weekly.

"It is also planned that the humanitarian aid plane sent from Armenia will arrive in Aleppo in the evening," Kantsasar's correspondent reports.

According to her, members of the Armenian community of Aleppo are spending the night in Armenian churches and other organizations.

"Today, the damage assessment of the apartments has started; there are apartments that are in danger of collapsing," the Kantsasar correspondent added.
