The National Assembly of Armenia on Wednesday by secret voting permitted the Prosecutor General's Office to launch criminal proceedings against Seyran Ohanyan, the head of the parliamentary faction of the opposition "Armenia" bloc, former Defense Minister of the republic.

68 deputies voted for depriving the opposition figure of parliamentary immunity.

The second motion was approved by 66 deputies unanimously.

As for the third motion, 68 deputies unanimously voted "for."

Opposition deputies boycotted the voting.
