Iranian arms exports tripled from March to December 2022 compared to the same period of the previous year, IRNA reports.

The export of defense production is gradually developing this year (1401 according to Iranian calendar, which started on March 21, 2022) and has tripled compared to the previous year.

According to the deputy minister, the enhanced development of the military-industrial complex in the country began ten years ago. It resulted in noticeable increase of the participation of domestic military hardware in exercises: only for the last year, its share increased by 10%, reaching 93%.

The Iranian general also noted that due to the large number of Iran's enemies in the world, the defense industry in the republic should be in the hands of the government, not private individuals.
