1 million 670,000 tourists visited Armenia in 2022, Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan said in parliament on Wednesday.

"In November and December we surpassed the figures of 2019. In January, 159 thousand tourists visited Armenia, which is 30% more than in the record-breaking 2019," he stressed.  

Kerobyan added that this year, five times more than usual, 1 billion drams have been allocated for tourism marketing. This is aimed at increasing the tourist flow.

The minister announced large investments for infrastructure development and intentions to continue such projects.

"The program of development of 20 tourist clusters is being actively implemented. Investments are made in Gyumri, Jermuk, Goris and other communities," he noted.
