The IT sector is considered an active sphere, which does not depend on the time of year and works with the same intensity and workload as before, since the orders come from abroad and have nothing to do with the weather. Gagik Makaryan, Chairman of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia told NEWS.am.

The textile sector is also active because they receive orders from abroad, especially from European countries and Russia, so seasonality does not play any role here.

The mining sector is also active, which receives orders at exchange prices and carries them out. Pharmaceutical companies are also busy, as well as companies producing metal items.

The communications industry, partly machinery manufacturing, and the electronics sector are also operating with the same workload.

Some passivity due to the weather is observed in the construction sector, although on the whole it can also be classified as a contentedly active industry.

The food processing sector, including the production of canned goods, weakened because of seasonality. On the other hand, the production of dairy products is even growing. Production of bread and bakery products also remains active.

Tourism is passive; activity in the sphere of public services has slightly weakened, though restaurants work with the same intensity, and cafes, transport services and hotels - not so. The chemical industry has also weakened.

Imports and exports have declined to some extent, especially those of the food industry.

On the whole 70% of industries are active, passivity is observed in other spheres.
