Co-founder of the rock band Pink Floyd Roger Waters has called for an immediate cease-fire in Ukraine, he said during a meeting of the UN Security Council initiated by Russia, reports TASS.

"We do not willingly raise our sons and daughters to provide fodder for your cannons. In our opinion, the only sensible course of actions today is an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine. No if’s, not but’s no and’s," the musician said.

According to him, the presidents of the United States, Russia and Ukraine, as well as NATO, must change their courses and agree on a ceasefire.

Waters has consistently spoken out in support of Russia in the conflict in Ukraine. For example, he called U.S. President Joe Biden a criminal, criticizing the U.S. administration for interfering in the situation in Ukraine.
