International rating agency Fitch estimated that the approximate financial losses for Turkey as a result of the devastating earthquake amounted to $4 billion.

Economic losses are difficult to estimate as the situation evolves, but they are likely to exceed $2 billion and could reach $4 billion or more, the report said.

The international headquarters for earthquake response in the Turkish province of Kahramanmarash included 11 countries, including Russia.

Turkish Administration for Prevention and Response to Emergencies (AFAD) reported that rescuers in Turkey managed to evacuate more than 28,000 people from the disaster zone after the devastating earthquake.
