Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn commented on the EU gas cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Asselborn, who is on an official visit to Yerevan, responded at a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to a question about Europe's active cooperation with Azerbaijan in the gas sphere despite numerous human rights violations in the country.
"You know that since February 24 last year, Europe needs new energy sources. I agree with you - we cannot sell our souls for gas or oil. We have to pay great attention so that we don't end up in another dependency where human rights are not a priority," the minister said.
