The International Court of Justice decided in the case presented by Armenia against Azerbaijan that before the final decision in the case is made, Azerbaijan is obliged, in accordance with its obligations under the convention, to take all the measures within its power to ensure the uninterrupted movement of people, vehicles and cargo in both directions of the Lachin Corridor.

According to the decision, since December 12, the movement through the Lachin Corridor has been disrupted, the supply of food, medicine and other necessary goods to Nagorno-Karabakh has been hindered, which can cause irreparable damage.

The court considers that it is necessary to apply a temporary measure and court records that Azerbaijan is obliged to take the measures that depend on it to ensure the uninterrupted movement of people and goods in both directions through the Lachin Corridor.

The court considers that lack of food and medicine can cause irreparable consequences for people's lives.

As for the suspension of gas supply, Armenia has not presented sufficient proof that Azerbaijan is creating an obstacle in relation to the gas supply problem, the court added.
