The European Commission (EC) has asked its employees to remove the application of the Chinese social network TikTok from their corporate phones, the Brussels-based publication EURACTIV reported on Thursday, citing European sources.

According to him, such a decision is associated with the adoption of measures on cybersecurity by the European Commission.

Earlier Reuters reported that the EU may tighten the rules against the social network TikTok, because the number of its active users exceeds the threshold established by the European Act on digital services.
