On Wednesday, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 occurred near the coast of Papua New Guinea, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center informed.

The epicenter of this tremor was located 108 kilometers northwest of the town of Kimbe, where about 18,800 people live.

The seismic activity occurred at a depth of 607 kilometers.

There is no information about devastation and casualties.

No tsunami warning has been declared.
