German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is very proud of the EU mission in Armenia, and it will make a great contribution. Scholz announced this Thursday during the joint news conference with visiting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Berlin, answering the question whether there is a possibility to expand the number of the EU mission in Armenia at the moment.

"We will develop that mission, we will see the rest," he added.

In his turn, PM Pashinyan said: "We are very happy with the decision made. The presence of the EU monitoring mission is regulated by mutual official letters. But we also have an agreement that an agreement regulating that presence should be discussed, negotiated, and signed. I believe we may sign a document regulating the presence of the monitoring mission in the near future. In the near future when we will negotiate and come to a general agreement on agreements, wordings."
