Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Minister of State Gurgen Nersisyan is concerned about the problems related to overcoming the consequences of Artsakh’s ongoing blockade by Azerbaijan. The newly appointed state minister informed about this at the meeting with businessmen Thursday.
"Yesterday and today I spent the whole day studying the economic and also problems related to overcoming the consequences of the blockade created in Artsakh. During that time, many problems and concerns arose for me. I wanted to collect information from you, as the primary beneficiaries and economic entities most deeply informed about the problems, so it is possible to choose the most correct, most objective approaches and options in the shortest possible time—in terms of speed and organization of work," said Nersisyan.
Businessmen presented their views on the created situation. Minister of State Nersisyan expressed his satisfaction with the establishment of the "Union of Artsakh Businessmen" NGO and emphasized the creation of a unit that consolidates the business environment.
The existence of that union will allow having more direct contact with businessmen, having a platform to discuss drafts of the government's acts related to entrepreneurship in that framework as well.
During the meeting, matters related to the support programs that are introduced to mitigate the economic and social consequences of the blockade were also discussed.
