President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has signed a decree to hold general elections in Turkey, Turkish media report.
Accordingly, the presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey will take place on May 14.
Earlier, Erdogan announced that he will run for the second presidential term.
His main opponent will be the joint candidate of the opposition People's Alliance, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, the leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP).
