In the period from January to December 2022, Russian citizens opened 7,328 economic entities, including 2,345 enterprises, in Armenia. Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan announced this during the presentation of the 2022 report on the progress and results of the implementation of the 2021-2026 government program at Monday’s meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration.

About 5,000 of these economic entities, as the minister noted, were individual entrepreneurs.

"Most of them are engaged in software development; this is about 3,900 people. As well as in IT related sectors; this is another 339 people," Kerobyan added.

And 679 Russian nationals in Armenia work in trade.
