MAKHACHKALA. - A number of Armenians who live in Makhachkala send an open letter to the “Shirak center” with the wish to help the family of Karen Asataryan, who was killed during a terrorist attack in Makhachkala on Wednesday.

“On behalf of Armenians who live in Makhachkala, we ask all the Armenians to help. In the evening of September 22nd two terrorist attacks were organized in Makhachkala, during one of which the 24-year-old Karen Asatryan from Gyumri was killed. Not being able to find work in his home, he moved to Makhachkala.

In order to provide financial support for his family, he worked as a taxi driver. Karen was a modest and hardworking young man who was beloved and respected by the neighbors and friends. On September 22nd he went out to work, three passengers got in the taxi one of which was carrying the explosive device. Of course, Karen didn’t know about this. It exploded in the car.

All four have died because of the explosion. As a result of the terrorist attack, the young Armenian innocent man, Karen Asatryan, died. Currently Karen’s corpse is in the morgue and a really big sum is required in order to return the corpse to his parents in Gyumri. We ask all the Armenians all the kind hearted people to help Karen’s family,” reads the statement.

The authors of the statement left the address of Karen’s family, who live on Pushkin 44 street in Gyumri city, Armenia.
