BAKU. – Azerbaijan’s critic journalist Idraq Abasov’s family was again attacked on the evening of September 23, Azerbaijani Tia.az website reported.        

The journalist told Tia.az that, even though he had petitioned on September 22 to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev asking the latter to guarantee his family’s safety, the attacks against them continue.      

Also, upon returning home on September 21, unknown persons had cut Idraq Abasov’s and his brother Raman’s way and threatened them, the Azerbaijani website informed.

Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier that, on September 9, the National Oil Company of Azerbaijan’s security officers had beaten Abasov’s family members. The journalist believed this attacked was linked to his activities.
