PARIS. – World renowned French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour’s concert was held on Wednesday at Olympia Concert Hall in Paris.  

The concert devoted to 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence brought together Armenian and French Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Nicolas Sarkozy, as well as France’s former Ambassador to Armenia Henry Cuny, and Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group’s French Co-Chair Bernard Fassier.

The 2.5-hour concert took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Charles Aznavour performed his songs from throughout the years, and the audience gave him a standing ovation so he would not leave the stage. Armenian and French musicians also took part in the concert.      

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday had headed to France for a 2-day official visit.
