YEREVAN. – The decision of opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) on holding 24/7 rallies is a tactical step to “to heat” its electorate, spokesperson of ruling Armenian Republican Party, MP Edward Sharmazanov told Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent commenting on ANC decision.

“Pre-election period is approaching and political powers try to strengthen the struggle and to lead the protestant electorate. ANC runs this policy. This is a way of political struggle and we praise that our oppositional colleagues stated about the responsibility for keeping order. We accept this way as ANC refused its steps put forward earlier. However, I still believe that the number of people gradually reduces at the rallies. Thus, ANC needs “to heat” its electorate,” Sharmazanov added.
