An earthquake, with a magnitude of 4.2, was registered in the central part of Turkey, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center informed.

The epicenter of this seismic activity was located at a depth of 7 kilometers.

Tremors were recorded 74 kilometers west of Malatya city—with a population of 441,000—and 9 kilometers south of Darende district—with about 20,300 inhabitants—in Malatya Province.
