At least one person died, two are missing and around 30 people were injured in Japan as Typhoon Mawar passed through the country, NHK TV channel reports.
The largest number of victims, 12 people, was recorded in Kanagawa Prefecture. Victims were also recorded in prefectures Shizuoka, Tochigi, Wakayama, Mie, Aichi, Yamanashi, and Tokyo.
Flooding caused by heavy rains damaged at least 178 houses in 12 prefectures.
