I will ask [you] to direct that question to the investigative body because an investigation is underway and it is not desirable for me to make any comments. Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan told this to reporters Wednesday at the National Assembly, referring to the abduction of two Armenian servicemen from the territory of Armenia a few days ago.
Regarding the statement by Syunik Province governor that the Azerbaijani armed forces have retreated in some places in Tegh village, the deputy defense minister said: "There were reports about it, even if fleeting. Again it is not desirable for me to address that topic and make any comments."
Commenting on the situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, he said that it is relatively stable.
"Yesterday we had shootings, about which a respective communiqué was given. In case of intense shootings, we react immediately," Sargsyan said.
Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that at 3:45pm Tuesday, units of the armed forces of Azerbaijan opened fire on equipment carrying out engineering work in Kakhakn village of Armenia’s Gegharkunik Province. The Armenian side has no losses.
