Quite tangible progress was recorded during the last meeting of the tripartite working group on unblocking economic and transport communications in the region, and I am very happy about it. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this during his meeting with his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin, on Wednesday in Russia.

"I want to once again express Armenia's readiness; that is, to open the regional economic and transport communications within the framework of the principle of sovereignty and jurisdiction of the parties through whose territory these communications pass. It refers to the communications that are outlined in point 9 of the tripartite statement of the presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan, and the Prime Minister of Armenia," said the Armenian PM.

"I hope that we will manage to reach concrete solutions. We [i.e. Armenia] have presented our specific proposals, and I hope that these proposals will be accepted. In principle, these are not our proposals; they are a compromise solution that we have developed over the past two years," noted Pashinyan.
