We have stated many times that we are working towards the normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan in a tripartite format between Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, based on the statements of the leaders of our countries. We consider the complex of tripartite agreements to be a roadmap with no alternative for Russia for the process of reconciliation between two brotherly peoples. Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), stated this during Wednesday’s press briefing, when commenting on the question asked with respect to the process of normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.

Zakharova noted that the aforesaid work has its own dynamics, formats, and additional tools of the negotiation process.

"We are not trying to speed up anything, we are going with the outlined plan, we are implementing everything we have agreed on. The rapprochement of the approaches of Azerbaijan and Armenia, the development of sustainable balanced solutions, always remain a priority for us. We are ready to assist such approaches, such work in the future," added the Russian MFA spokesperson.
