The US Department of State does not specify the dates yet for the next round of talks between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the spokesperson of the State Department reports, in response to an inquiry by RFE/RL Armenian Service.

The spokesperson of the US State Department did not address the reasons for the postponement of the Ararat Mirzoyan-Jeyhun Bayramov meeting slated for June 12 in Washington D.C.

The US State Department spox said in a statement that they are looking forward to hosting another round of talks in Washington,.

Washington welcomed the ongoing peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan, including the recent Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan-Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev meeting in Moldovan capital Chisinau.

Armenia's foreign ministry confirmed earlier today that the next round of the Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs' talks scheduled for next week in the US capital was being postponed.

Ayhan Hajizadeh, spokesman of the Azerbaijani foreign ministry, had said that the new dates of these talks were being discussed now.
