Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin told Russia-24 television that Russia consistently assists Armenia and Azerbaijan in developing the parameters of a peace treaty between them.
Also, he considered it a natural and logical process that the parties directly discuss the text of this peace treaty.
"The Russian side will continue its efforts in full compliance with the tripartite statements on assisting the solution of the full complex of Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization issues," said Galuzin.
He called it a logical process that Baku and Yerevan are discussing the text of this peace treaty, at the same time noting that tripartite agreements remain an alternative roadmap for the normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations.
Galuzin emphasized that Moscow is not opposed to other countries assisting the normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku—but not with words, but with deeds,—and in line with the fundamental agreements reached by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.
