Since May 2018, when I assumed the position of Prime Minister, I have constantly received reports, the NSS [(National Security Service)] constantly warned about the possibility of war. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at Tuesday’s meeting of the National Assembly Inquiry Committee for Studying the Circumstances of the Hostilities Unleashed on September 27, 2020, adding that the NSS had even announced the dates of a possible war.

Also, the pointed out that he had received other reports. According to him, it was reported to him that the international partners also consider the war as unlikely.

"It was reported to me that there is a 30 percent chance of a war starting, and that this is psychological pressure on the political power so that we make disproportionate concessions," Pashinyan said, adding that he had called on the Armenian Armed Forces not to take drastic actions in order not to provoke a war out of nothing.

Pashinyan promised to provide more detailed information during the closed part of the meeting of the aforesaid parliamentary committee.
