In addition to the US and Russia, Armenia has received proposals also from South Korea and France in the nuclear energy sector. Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, stated this in an interview with the VOA Armenian Service.

According to him, Armenia continues internal and external discussions to make a final decision on building a new nuclear power plant, or modernizing the existing one.

"I believe this is a very good opportunity in the context of expanding our collaboration with various countries," added the head of the Security Council of Armenia.

Grigoryan noted that Armenia does not view the Russian and American nuclear proposals in the context of the conflict between these two countries, but discusses them from the point of view of Armenia's gains, interests, and opportunities.

"I am convinced that the final decision will be made on the basis of these principles," added the secretary of the Security Council of Armenia.
