Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he would meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin soon and hoped to continue the Black Sea grain deal.
“We hope to bring this issue to a certain point with Mr. Putin in the very near future, either through telephone diplomacy or as a result of his visit to Turkey, which we have already discussed among ourselves," Erdogan told reporters.
The grain deal was suspended since July 18. On Monday, Russia informed Turkey, Ukraine and the United Nations it had objections to its extension.
