Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan's visit to Cyprus has been cancelled; the reason is the aggravation of the situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. This was informed by the Minister of Defense of Cyprus, Michalis Giorgallas, on Thursday.

“I had today a telephone conversation with my Armenian counterpart following the cancellation of his planned visit to Cyprus, due to the escalation of the situation in Armenia. We confirmed the excellent relations between our two countries as well as our excellent cooperation in the Tripartite scheme with Greece in the fields of defence and security. I expressed my undivided support to the people of Armenia. It is our mutual desire to meet in the near future and as soon as the circumstances permit,” Giorgallas wrote on X—former Twitter.
