The Armenian-Russian media forum is underway Friday in Yerevan.
It is being attended by representatives of Armenian and Russian media, prominent political scientists, and experts from both countries.
The event is taking place at a time of tense relations between Armenia and Russia. The tension was further aggravated by the detention of pro-Russian blogger Mika Badalyan and Sputnik Armenia radio columnist Ashot Gevorgyan in Armenia Thursday.
Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian foreign ministry, addressed the participants of this media forum, urged them not to give in to provocations, and expressed confidence that the shared future of the two fraternal nations will withstand all this.
