This is our first visit to Armenia. Honestly Armenia is a country of beautiful opportunities with its hospitality, culture, history, and we are very interested in all of that. Abdullah Mohamed Al Mazrouei, President of Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce & Industry and head of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) delegation visiting Armenia, told this to reporters before the start of the Armenian-Emirati business forum Monday.
Just as the UAE, the entire Emirati private sector is interested in successful cooperation with successful partners, and from that point of view, Armenia is very interesting to the UAE because the Armenian economy is registering quite dynamic and stable growth, Al Mazrouei said, adding, however, that it will be difficult for him to talk about specific projects based on the results of their first visit to Armenia
He noted that at the moment, they are in Armenia to understand what ways there are to promote mutual trade and economic cooperation from a general infrastructural and logistical point of view, and that this is one of the important matters on their agenda
Al Mazrouei stated that the development of the economy in the UAE is quite high and the medical sector is no exception. He said that within the framework of this visit, they want to find what chances there are of cooperation in this sector in Armenia. Al Mazrouei said they are aware that Armenia has a fairly well-educated and well-equipped medical workforce, and there is a great shortage of medical workers in the world today. He noted that cooperation in this sector is possible, collaboration at the level of private medical institutions is possible, and that they expect to be present during future visits, too. And from this point of view, Abdullah Mohamed Al Mazrouei continued, it is noteworthy that Armenia provides quite large tax benefits in this sector, which is encouraging.
