There are lots of casualties as a result of Azerbaijan's attack on Artsakh, many women, elderly people and children and killed or injured, the Main Information Department of the Office of the President of the Republic of Artsakh reports.

"Once again violating the tripartite agreement of November 9, 2020, Azerbaijan began large-scale military actions against the Republic of Artsakh on September 19, targeting civilian objects and the civilian population, resulting in casualties and injuries among women, elderly people and children.

Azerbaijan's actions are nothing more than ethnic cleansing and genocidal policy, and while implementing it, Baku is manipulating the humanitarian corridor and other false humanitarian agendas," the statement reads.

Earlier NEWS.am reported that Azerbaijan՛s Armed Forces started to use artillery along the entire line of contact in Nagorno Karabakh as of 1 p.m. on September 19, attempting to penetrate into the depth of the defense line of the Defense Forces of Nagorno Karabakh.

Stepanakert, the capital of Nagorno Karabakh, as well as other settlements are under heavy shelling now. The Human Rights Defender of Nagorno Karabakh, Gegham Stepanyan, reported that there are multiple casualties and injuries among civilians, including children.
