The police started to massively detain protesters at Republic Square in Yerevan after informing them that their actions are illegal.

Before that, the police warned the protesters that they are going to use special measure to disperse the protest.

The situation became tense as clashes broke out between citizens and the police.

The protesters are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan over his handling of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh that came under heavy shelling by Azerbaijan’s Armed Forces.
