The situation in Republic Square escalated again. New police forces have been brought in, who are detaining citizens that demand the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan over the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The demonstrators chant "Artsakh" and call the police "Turks" – a word perceived as insult among many Armenians.

Earlier News.am reported that the situation in the front of the Government building was tense. Citizens threw stones, eggs, and bottles at the police officers guarding the Government building, the police detained a number of citizens.
