Andranik Tevanyan, head of the opposition Mother Armenia bloc, is being transferred to the Investigative Committee of Armenia within the framework of administrative proceedings, lawyer Hovhannes Khudoyan wrote.

"No criminal procedural grounds have been presented," the attorney added.

Earlier we informed that the police detained Andranik Tevanyan from a Yerevan street and took him to a police station.

Since this morning, Tevanyan and numerous other opposition activists have been carrying out actions of civil disobedience in the Armenian capital.

At the moment, such protest actions are taking place in various streets of Yerevan, as well as at Republic Square.

Large-scale protests have started in Yerevan amid the latest Azerbaijani military aggression unleashed against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) on Tuesday. People demand an answer from the Armenian authorities for their inaction in the Artsakh issue.

Everyone emphasizes that there is genocide in Artsakh today, and therefore immediate action must be taken.
