Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Toivo Klaar, the European Union (EU) Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, the PM’s office informed.

The head of the EU Delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, also participated in the meeting.

The current military and political situation around Nagorno-Karabakh and the measures to overcome it were discussed.

Both sides emphasized the need for guarantees for the security and rights of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Also, they  reflected on the situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.

In addition, views were exchanged on the course of cooperation between Armenia and the European Union.
