Levon Kocharyan, the son of Former Armenian President Robert Koacharyan, has been arrested, his lawyer Alexander Kochubaev wrote on his Facebook page.
"At 12 p.m., the police officers detained Levon Kocharyan after severely beating him. We submitted a report on the crime of torturing Kocharyan. A little while ago, the investigator handed us the arrest warrant, from which it became clear that the police officers who were torturing him have reported that Levon Kocharyan beat four red berets. Criminal proceedings have been initiated based on this nonsense, and these guys are pondering over torture. This is of course a legal rampage. Levon Kocharyan took this issue with a laugh and called not to give up and to continue the struggle.
P.S. I am posting the video of Levon Kocharyan beating the berets in the comment. I call on the investigative committee to look at it and consult an ophthalmologist," he wrote.
Levon Kocharyan has been participating in the demonstrations in the recent days. In a video footage published today, it could be seen how the police officers use excessive force to detain him and beating him in the police car.
Levon Kocharyan sustained concussions because of police brutality.
