A congressional delegation from the United States led by Senator Gerry Peters of Michigan (Democrat) paid a visit to the headquarters of the European Union's Monitoring Mission in Armenia. The mission's press service shared this news on their X (former Twitter) account.

During a briefing held at the EU observation mission headquarters, Marcus Ritter, the mission's head, expressed the mission's commitment to easing tensions in the border regions. The briefing was also attended by the US Ambassador to Armenia, Kristina Kvien.

The European Union's observation mission in Armenia welcomed the visit of the US delegation and underscored its dedication to contributing to peace and stability in the region.

‘We aim to calm down the tensions at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border areas’ said HoM Markus Ritter at the briefing at EUMA Headquarters.
