Former Mayor of Yerevan and former MP Albert Bazeyan has been arrested, his lawyer Hakob Jhangiryan reported.

He said that Albert Bazeyan has not been charged.

Albert Bazeyan was arrested on suspicion of committing an act stipulated by Article 419 of the RA Criminal Code (usurpation of power).

Hakob Jhangiryan said that they are going to submit a complaint to the court regarding the legality of Bazeyan's arrest.
