The UN will assist to the displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia if the organization is given the necessary access to them. The representative of The organization's Secretary General Stephane Dujarric said at the briefing.
"We are following closely and with great concern the mass movement of people into Armenia. If the UN is granted access, we are ready to conduct a humanitarian needs assessment and provide assistance to the affected people. Our representatives are present in both Azerbaijan and Armenia. They are ready to support any relief efforts if given the opportunity," he said.
As of Monday, more than 6,500 people left Karabakh for Armenia. The authorities promise to provide internally displaced persons with housing.
