The US Department of State did not comment on the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Nakhichevan Monday and the discussions about the "Zangezur corridor."

State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller noted during Monday’s Department press briefing that the US has been "engaged with the Turkish Government on this issue."

"It was one of the issues that [US] Secretary [of State Antony] Blinken discussed with his Turkish counterpart when they met in New York on Friday. We continue to hope that all of our allies and partners could play a constructive role in reaching a lasting agreement, and that of course would include Türkiye. But I don’t have a comment on a specific proposal,” the US State Department spox added.
