Collaboration between Moscow and Yerevan in economy has a significant contribution to the development of Armenia and cannot be compared with the level of collaboration between Yerevan and Washington, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters, according to TASS.

"Of course, the US and Armenia are sovereign countries, they have their own directions in which they develop interaction and dialogue. We are developing in our own directions," said Peskov.

Speaking about energy and several other sectors, he noted that "there is hardly anything comparable to the depth of integration that Armenia has with the Russian economy."

"Hardly anything can be compared with the indirect subsidy of Armenia’s economy. Let's not forget that supplies of various natural resources are quite preferential, [don't forget] the assistance that Russia gives. This is a very significant contribution to the development of Armenia and the Armenian people. Russia has done it and will continue to do it," Peskov said.

"Therefore, of course, it is hardly possible to compare the level of our interaction, our engagement with the engagement of the Americans in this interaction," concluded the press secretary of the Russian president.
